Authorities in Kenya have discovered 12 new bodies in the Shakahola Forest, bringing the death toll of the "Shakahola forest massacre" to 403. The victims were followers of the Good News International Church, led by self-proclaimed pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, who advocated fasting to death. Mackenzie has been in custody since April and will face terrorism charges. Sixteen others are accused of being part of a group responsible for ensuring followers did not break the fast or escape from the forest. The discovery comes almost three months after the first victims were found.
