Chandrayaan-3: First Orbit-Raising Manoeuvre Successfully Performed, Says ISRO

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully performed the first orbit raising manoeuvre of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft. The spacecraft is now in an orbit ranging from 173 kilometers to 41,762 kilometers away from Earth. Isro plans to make a soft landing on the unexplored south pole of the Moon on August 23. Only the United States, China, and Russia have previously achieved a lunar landing. The spacecraft's health is reported to be normal, and several more manoeuvres are expected before the final descent to the Moon's surface.
