Kentucky’s ban on gender-affirming care takes effect as federal judge lifts injunction

Kentucky's ban on gender-affirming care for young transgender people has taken effect after a Federal Judge lifted an injunction that had temporarily blocked the restrictions. The lawsuit, filed by seven transgender children and their parents, argues that the law violates their constitutional rights and interferes with parental rights. At least 20 states have enacted similar laws, many of which are facing legal challenges.
