Politics latest news: Parliament investigating how ‘Chinese spy’ got through security

The House of Commons is Investigating an incident where a man claiming to be a tourist tried to attend an invitation-only talk on July 5, which was addressed by Hong Kong campaigners. The man, who allegedly gave a name not on the approved list, did not disclose his representation upon arrival at the event. Parliamentary authorities are now investigating the incident, but have not commented publicly. Tory MP Bob Seely, who organized the discussion, called it "completely inappropriate" for Beijing to send an operative to intimidate or record people at a private parliamentary event.
