Kansas lawmakers botched the drafting of a new anti-transgender law, agency attorney says

Kansas lawmakers have made an error in drafting a new law aimed at preventing transgender individuals from changing the gender listed on their driver's licenses, according to a court filing by a state agency attorney. The new law conflicts with an existing law governing driver's licenses, and the attorney argues that the department must still follow the older law.
