UAE sees higher Chinese car sales as China faces decline at home

Chinese car sales in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been increasing, while demand in China has been declining. Chinese state-owned MG sales in the UAE have risen by almost 86% year-on-year since 2022, making it the fourth-highest-selling brand in the country. Geely, another Chinese car manufacturer, has sold over 1,000 units in the UAE since setting up three months ago and plans to open more showrooms in the country. In contrast, China experienced a 2.9% decline in passenger vehicle sales in June, the first contraction since January.
