British MPs call for action for Alaa Abdel Fattah

Over 100 British Mps have urged the government to take action for the release of Egyptian-British activist Alaa Abdel Fattah, who has been imprisoned for over three years. The MPs express concern at the lack of progress in his case, calling on the government to intervene at the UN Human Rights Council level and update travel advice for British visitors to Egypt. Amnesty International organized a rally in London to mark ten years since the military coup by General al-Sisi.
