Mumbai: 10% Water Cut to Stay Despite Rising Lake Levels, Stock Stands at 15%

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will not immediately lift the 10% water cut imposed in Mumbai, despite rising water levels in the city's lakes. The water stock currently stands at 15.4% of the full supply level, an improvement from last year. However, the BMC is not taking the risk of withdrawing the cut due to unpredictable rainfall. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rain with occasional intense spells in the next 24 hours.
