Injuries reported, houses damaged following ‘large tornado’ in central Alberta: RCMP

A large tornado has been reported in Mountain View County, Alberta, causing damage to houses and injuries. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have warned residents to take cover. An Alberta emergency alert has been issued for parts of southern and Central Alberta, including the town of Didsbury. Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed the presence of a severe thunderstorm producing a tornado, along with damaging winds, large hail, and intense rainfall. The tornado is moving southeast at 40 kilometers per hour. The affected areas include Mountain View County, Didsbury, Olds, and Carstairs.
