Neeraj Chopra Clinches Diamond League Title in Lausanne After One Month Injury Layoff

Indian Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra made a successful comeback after a one-month injury layoff to win the Diamond League title in Lausanne. Chopra, who had skipped three events due to a muscle strain, threw a winning distance of 87.66m in the fifth round. He began with a foul and had throws of 83.52m and 85.04m before his winning throw. Germany's Julian Weber finished second with a throw of 87.03m, while Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic came third with an 86.13m effort. Chopra had previously won the Lausanne leg in 2022 and went on to win the Diamond League trophy.
