Europol supported the investigation, which led to the seizure of 6.5 tonnes of cocaine hidden between bananas in Spain and Columbia. Thirteen people were arrested, and €223 million worth of the drug was intercepted. The leader of the network, considered one of Spain's biggest drug traffickers, was based in Malaga and used a wholesale frozen fish company as a front to launder illicit assets.
