A 400-year-old Ming Dynasty Table made of rosewood has been discovered in a country home in Derby, UK. The table, valued between $70,000 and $100,000, is set to go up for auction in October. The table, known as a Banzhou side table, was used for serving wine and food. Made of huanghuali wood, the table has a unique floating panel construction and is supported by three dovetail transverse stretchers. The wood is rare and in demand due to its beauty and historical significance, particularly among collectors in the Far East.
