A 300-kg Ajmeri Goat named Shahrukh was sold for Rs 6 lakh at the Bakra Mandi in Lucknow on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. The goat was purchased by a businessman and was one of the many goats sold at the market, which recorded a total sale of Rs 3 crore. The prices of goats sold in the Mandi went as high as Rs 51 lakhs. The manager of the mandi attributed the lower sales this year to the monsoon season and sudden rains.
