A Family in Texas has adopted an 82-year-old neighbor, Paul Callahan, as their "honorary grandpa" after he welcomed them to their new home. The family of eight and Paul spend every holiday together and see each other every other day. The Caraballos were initially apprehensive about meeting their new neighbors but Paul's warm welcome helped put them at ease. Sharaine Caraballo thinks her family provided an important refuge for Paul, whose wife passed away six months before the family moved into the neighborhood. Paul is a retired Texas Instruments manager and the last of his siblings.
