The vigilance wing of Odisha Police has seized assets worth over INR 5 crore and arrested an additional sub-collector during raids at the residences of the government officer in different places in the state. The assets seized included a multistoried building, cash over INR 3.02 crores, deposits over INR 92.34 lakhs, and five plots. Locals expressed satisfaction over the raids. The officer was arrested in 2018 for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of INR 1 lakh and was subsequently suspended and reinstated in 2020 as the additional sub-collector of Nabarangpur.
