Ad-czar Sylvester daCunha, Creator of Amul Girl Campaign, Passes Away

Sylvester daCunha, the creator of the popular Amul Girl 'utterly butterly' campaign in 1966, has passed away at the age of 80. The ad campaign, which featured a mischievous girl in a polka-dot frock, was known for its sense of humour and satire, and was widely acknowledged during its Golden Jubilee in 2016. The Amul Girl campaign is credited with running one of the longest hoarding ad campaigns at Mumbai's Chowpatty, with many quotable quotes and even featuring in local newspapers. Sylvester Dacunha is survived by his wife, son and advertising master, Rahul daCunha.
