Family has barbecue on edge of unstable ‘Broadchurch’ cliff

A Family was photographed having a barbecue on the Edge of the unstable “Broadchurch” cliffs in West Bay, Dorset, despite recent rockfalls. The cliffs are made of 185 million-year-old sandstone and have been known to collapse without warning. A photographer who took aerial pictures of the scene described the situation as “madness” and said that people do not seem to understand the danger. Visitors are warned to stay away from the cliff base and the edge, and to pay attention to warning signs and safety messages. The area is part of the Jurassic Coast, which is constantly eroding.
