EU allocates €20 million to help Egypt manage influx of refugees fleeing Sudan

The EU has allocated €20 million to help Egypt Manage the influx of Sudanese refugees. During a two-day visit to Cairo, the EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, expressed support for Egypt's efforts to end hostilities in Sudan, where a three-day truce has just begun. Borrell also met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to review and strengthen the partnership between Brussels and Cairo. The two officials underlined the importance of achieving a peaceful resolution to the Israel-Palestine conflict based on the two-state solution.
