Yellow, a pay-as-you-go solar energy and digital device financing startup in Africa, has raised $14m in series B funding. The round was led by Convergence Partners and included participation from the Energy Entrepreneurs Growth Fund and Platform Investment Partners. Yellow will use the funding to deepen its market reach in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, and Madagascar, launch digital and financial products, and prepare for future debt funding rounds. The company has so far raised $45m.
