At least 41 killed in rebel attack on Ugandan school

At least 41 people, including 38 students, were Killed in an attack on a secondary school near the border with Congo by suspected rebels. The victims were burned, shot or hacked to death, and at least six people were abducted. The Allied Democratic Forces, an extremist group that has been launching attacks for years from its bases in volatile eastern Congo, carried out the raid. The group rarely claims responsibility for attacks and has long opposed the rule of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, establishing ties with the Islamic State group. Ugandan authorities have vowed to track down ADF militants, even outside Ugandan territory.
