Units of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have requested more Bulletproof Jackets and helmets after fresh violence in Manipur left at least one person dead. The Rapid Action Force (RAF) has asked for 300 bulletproof jackets, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel have also asked for supplies to be increased. A senior RAF official said that while the force was an anti-rioting unit, militant groups were now involved in creating a law and order situation in the state. Four security personnel have died in recent clashes.
