Cape Verde gears up for the future with new tech park

Cape Verde's new technological Park near the capital, Praia, has opened after six years of construction, with the government investing €50m in the project. Situated near the Nelson Mandela airport, the facility is part of a government strategy to diversify the country's economy, with the area around the park designated as a "Free Zone", offering tax breaks and other incentives to companies located there. Carlos Monteiro, chairman of the board of directors, said the park would help to prepare young people to work in the technology sector in the future.
