Former Attorney General Bill Barr has said that former US President Donald Trump is in trouble after a 37-count criminal indictment was unsealed against him, alleging that he wilfully retained hundreds of classified government records at his Florida home and conspired to prevent their return to US officials. The indictment, made public a day after a grand jury in Miami voted to indict Trump, said that the records contained information about defence and weapons capabilities of the US and foreign countries, US nuclear programmes, and “potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack”.
