Apple unveiled its first augmented reality (AR) headset, the Vision Pro, at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. TechCrunch's editor-in-chief, Matthew, praised the device, saying it represented a "genuine leapfrog in capability and execution of XR." Meanwhile, Apple plans to release a major update to iOS 17 later this year, introducing new features such as personalised call posters, Standby mode and live voicemail. WhatsApp is also launching Channels, a broadcast-based messaging feature, as parent company Meta experiments with giving more conversational avenues to its two billion users.
