The National Museum of Scotland will feature an Exhibition on the Racial Identity of "blackness", with Coco Chanel's little black dress as its centrepiece. The exhibition will examine the cultural significance of the dress, as well as its history and varied uses, from respectful funeral attire to outfits worn by members of fetish subcultures. The exhibition will run from July 1 to October 29, and will include pieces by designers such as Alexander McQueen, Prada and Versace.
