Ankapur village's Desi Chicken in Telangana's Nizamabad district has become a popular dish, tried and tested by many, including Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The dish is prepared by using 20 to 30 hens or roosters mixed with rice and other ingredients such as masalas. The dish, which can serve four people, can be bought for Rs 800. The demand for the dish has not declined despite the price increase. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has set up a special counter at Ankapur for cargo services to deliver parcels of the dish to customers in different parts of Telangana.
