Former Cricket Australia Executive Timothy Joseph Whittaker has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two younger male staffers without their consent. However, Melbourne Magistrates Court has spared him jail time. Whittaker was convicted of two charges and ordered to perform 300 hours of unpaid community work on a 30-month community corrections order. The court took into account the significant stress Whittaker was under while working at Cricket Australia, as well as significant media attention and his previous good character. Whittaker resigned as CA’s head of communications in 2019 and later started a senior role at Australia Post before resigning after the allegations were made.
