Manoj Ramesh Sane, who allegedly killed his live-in partner Saraswati Vaidya and chopped her body into pieces, has claimed he never had a physical relationship with her and that he is HIV-positive. Sane reportedly told police that Vaidya was “like his daughter” and was very possessive in nature, often suspecting him of being unfaithful. He also said he was teaching her maths and that she was planning to take her Class 10 SSC exams. Sane has been remanded in police custody until 16 June.
