Sister of jailed aid worker sounds alarm about Twitter’s ties to Saudi Arabia

An American woman whose Saudi Arabian aid worker brother was allegedly tortured after using an anonymous Twitter account to mock government officials has spoken out about the social media site's ties to the country. In an interview with CBS News, the woman said Twitter had provided the Saudi government with private information, including the email addresses and phone numbers of dissidents. Twitter has disputed the allegations, saying the company is "committed to protecting the freedom of expression of our customers, including those who use Twitter to share their perspectives on global events."
