Turkey’s Erdogan calls Putin, Zelenskyy, offers mediation in Ukraine dam crisis

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered to set up a joint mechanism to investigate the collapse of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Russian-occupied southern Ukraine. In separate phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelenskyy, Erdogan proposed a mechanism involving Russian and Ukrainian experts, the United Nations, and Turkey to investigate the dam collapse. Erdogan also stressed the need for a "comprehensive investigation of the explosion at the dam that will leave no room for doubt" and expressed his country's commitment to achieving a fair peace between the two warring countries.
