Around 60 firefighters have been tackling a blaze on the first, second, third and fourth floors of a five-storey block of flats in Croydon, South London. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Eight fire engines from Croydon, Woodside, Wallington and surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene, and a man and a woman were treated by ambulance crews at the scene but did not need to be taken to hospital. Around 80 people left the building, and road closures are expected to be in place for a number of hours.
