Cong to Send Observers to Manipur to Assess Ground Situation

In Manipur, India, violence broke out between protesters and security forces after a 'Tribal Solidarity March' was organised by the All Tribal Student Union. A delegation of Congress party workers met with Kharge and decided to Send Observers to assess the situation on the ground. At least 73 people were killed and 231 injured in the violence, and 1,700 homes were burnt. Kharge has criticised the role of both the central and state governments in controlling the situation.
