The external affairs minister, S Jaishankar, arrived in Belgium on Monday evening for the last leg of his three-nation tour covering Bangladesh, Sweden and Belgium. He met Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and conveyed personal greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the meeting. The minister said he discussed bilateral cooperation, including in trade and technology, and also spoke about contemporary strategic concerns. Jaishankar is in Brussels for the first meeting of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council, scheduled for Tuesday.
