Bank of Korea governor says it’s ‘premature’ to talk about rate cuts

The Bank of Korea Governor, Rhee Chang-yong, says that it is "premature" to talk about rate cuts at this point, as inflation is still above the target and Core CPI readings are decreasing. Wall Street banks are predicting that South Korea may start a rate-cutting cycle as early as the third quarter.
