Pope Francis calls for warring factions in Sudan to begin dialogue

Pope Francis called for the resumption of talks in Sudan between the Sudanese military and Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group, urging de-facto leader General Abdel-Fattah Burhan and his rival General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo to enter into dialogue to end the bloody conflict. The WHO reported over 420 people dead and 3,700 injured, mainly in Khartoum and Darfur, with many people seeking repatriation.
