Shipibo fishers and local farmers living inside a Protected area in the Peruvian Amazon peacefully protested the park administration in order to Regain Ownership of protected land. Despite their claims that the park was established illegally, the administration had carried on its operations. This conflict has led to tensions between the community and the park administration, as the community has been restricted in their livelihoods by the park's rules.
