On April 2nd, violence broke out in Bengal's Rishra district during a procession led by a group leading a "Ram Navami" yatra. The primary investigation report submitted by the Chandannagar commissioner has revealed that the violence was instigated by the group leading the procession and that local people were using abusive language and throwing stones at the processionists.
