China’s strong demand for commodities to exceed post-2008 crisis, mining giant says

Andrew Forrest, executive chairman of Fortescue, predicts that China's post-Covid demand for commodities will be greater than in 2008, when the country emerged from the global financial crisis. Fortescue anticipates that shipments will continue at a similar pace in the first half of this year. The Australian miner is partnering with Chinese companies to invest in renewable energy projects overseas.
