The Italian Coast Guard has rescued more than 700 migrants in the past two days off the coast of Tunisia. Most of these migrants are from sub-Saharan Africa and are hoping to reach Europe. The Italian coast guard has also rescued 295 migrants in distress off the Calabrian coast.
