Mahsa Amini not forgotten in Iran six months after death

Mahsa Amini, a Kurdish woman visiting Tehran with her brother and cousins, was arrested for allegedly violating Iran's strict dress code for women. She was taken to a police station and later died in hospital after a dispute with a policewoman. The protests that followed her Death quickly turned into a nationwide movement for change, including calls for gender equality and greater openness in Iran. Six months after her death, Amini's portrait is ubiquitous in Iran and her name has become a symbol for the fight against compulsory hijab.
