‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ editor never thought he’d get an Oscar nomination: ‘That’s not how I saw my career going’

Paul Rogers, the Oscar-nominated Editor of "Everything Everywhere All at Once," never planned on becoming an editor when he started making films in high school. He gradually found his passion for Film editing and went on to attend film school at the now-defunct College of Santa Fe. After meeting directors Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, he moved to Los Angeles and began working on music videos and feature films with them. The film "Everything Everywhere All at Once" is nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including editing and directing awards for Paul Rogers. Paul Rogers says that he has found having a more intense and intentional separation between work and life to be helpful in his career.
