Africa’s largest film festival kicks off in Burkina Faso

The Africa's Largest Film Festival, FESPACO, kicked off this weekend in Burkina Faso. Over 15,000 people are expected to attend the event, which celebrates cinema and encourages peace and social cohesion. The competition this year includes 100 films from 35 African countries and the diaspora. Many of the films directed by women. The Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou will continue through March 4th.
