BACKGROUND

In a male dominated sector, the iconic Engr. Egan Adat Okon-Effiong; is one of few exceptional women leaving landmarks in the Nigeria oil and gas sector.

Engr. Okon-Effiong is a multi-level IT Engineer, Business Analyst and skilled expert with over 15 years’ boardroom experience and a vast knowledge in the Oil and Gas sector, including upstream to downstream operations.

The Enigma Egan is a result oriented Human Resources Executive with broad experience including policy development, performance engagement, and benefits administration, working with various stakeholders to become the effective leaders they truly desire and deserve to be.

She is a motivated and ambitious Business Analyst with the technical expertise and business acumen necessary to translate business requirements and objectives into scalable, highly resilient and successful system solutions. EDUCATION

The Iconic Engr Egan Adat Okon-Effiong began her early academic sojourn from Command Children School, Calabar, in 1990. She proceeded to Edgerly Memorial Girls Secondary, Calabar for her post primary education and subsequently obtained a degree in Computer Science and Maths Statistics from the Polytechnic Calabar. She thereafter obtained a Higher National Diploma in Computer Engineering from Dorben Polytechnic, Abuja. Her educational strides continued as she proceeded to The University of Texas at Austin for a post-graduate diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics.

Engr Egan holds a post graduate diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja , FCT.

She began her career as a Database Administrator with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Abuja between 2007 to 2010. Between 2010 to 2012, she became Employee Relation Officer of the NNPC, working her way up to become the corporation IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST, ENSERV Nig. Ltd. (Subsidiary of NNPC Limited).

Other positions held by the ambitions go-getter include:

-Recruitment Officer, NNPC, Abuja, 2012 – 2014.

-Legal Administration Officer,NNPC 2014 – 2016.

-Business Development Analyst, Renewable Energy Division, NNPC, Abuja 2017 – 2019.

-Supervisor, Marketing Oil and Gas, National Petroleum Telecommunications Nig. Ltd.NNPC-NAPET), 2020- 2021.

-Supervisor Technical Support, NNPC Medical Services Limited, Edo, Benin City. 2021 – 2022.

-Lead, IT Planning & Business Development, NAPET Telecoms Ltd. (Subsidiary of the NNPC) 2021 to 2023.

Engr. Egan Adat Okon-Effiong is currently the IT Support Specialist, ENSERV Nig. Ltd.(Subsidiary of NNPC LTD), Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

PHILANTHROPY

Engr Egan Adat Okon-Effiong is a passionate philanthropist who always seeks to promote the welfare of others, especially through generous donation of money to good causes.

Over the years she has engaged herself in various charitable acts and other good works that have helped several people in society.

She is interested in enhancing and transforming the lives of the less privileged, downtrodden, indigent people, widows, orphan community.

She also owns THE CITADEL CARE HOME a center that cares for the aged and Greenlead African Initiative (GAI) a Not for profit organization that sponsors indigent children across Nigeria and the globe with education up to university level.

So far the NGO has graduated over 230 graduates respectively

She is a core progressive and an astute supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu right from the days of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to 2013 when All Progressive Congress (APC) was consummated.

MARITAL LIFE

She is happily married to AIG Okon Effiong Okon and are blessed with lovely children.
