Photos of Baba Lawal, a lecturer at Umar Bn Khattab College of Education Kaduna, celebrating Eid al-Adha with his three wives and 19 children in traditional attire, have caused a buzz on social media. Baba Lawal also used the post to announce the passing of his wife’s father.

The lecturer captioned the photos, “Alhamdulillah for more mercy from Allah, my family have witnessed this year 1444AH EID, despite it came with mixing feeling as Hajiya (Mamawa) loss her father Prince Jimoh Adeleke on Tuesday 18 April, 2023 may Allah forgive his shortcomings. Allahumagfirlahu Allahumathabithu Ameen.
Kindly join the family to condole Hajiya and pray for her trip to be safe with Allah’s rahma.”

Baba Lawal’s photos celebrating Eid al-Adha with his large family went viral, with many people commending his ability to manage such a big family and praising his wives for their support and peaceful coexistence. Alongside these compliments, many people also sent condolences to Baba Lawal’s wife for her father’s passing. One fan wished blessings upon all families and departed relatives, while another congratulated Baba Lawal and his family and prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon them.

Baba Lawal has been married to his three wives for more than two decades and is known for publicly supporting polygamy as a way of life. He has expressed pride in his family and considers his wives and children to be his greatest assets.
