Oyinkansola Elebuibon, a Yoruba actress based in the United States, has refuted rumors circulating on social media that Lateef Adedimeji, a popular Yoruba actor, is the father of her child. According to a popular Instagram gossip blog, the actress gave birth to Adedimeji’s child in 2018 and kept it a secret by quitting acting and moving to the US.

However, Adedimeji is presently in a relationship with his colleague, Oyebade Adebimpe. In response to these allegations, Oyinkansola Elebuibon, who is the daughter of Ifayemi Elebuibon, a well-known Ifa priest, took to Instagram Live to condemn those spreading the rumor.

During her Instagram Live, Oyinkansola Elebuibon expressed her thoughts on the rumors and advised journalists to be mindful of the impact of their actions on the people involved. She emphasized that insulting public figures from behind a keyboard is not the solution and that individuals are not necessarily better than them.

She went on to explain that the speculations about her and Lateef Adedimeji arose because some people, including her colleagues in the movie industry, have always been curious about her personal life, which she chooses to keep private and away from social media. Additionally, she revealed that this is not the first time such rumors have surfaced, but she chose not to respond previously.

Furthermore, Oyinkansola Elebuibon stated that she chooses not to respond to rumors about her private life because people feel entitled to know everything about celebrities, even their personal lives. She questioned the logic of hiding a child from the alleged father and emphasized that if she were dating Lateef Adedimeji, she would have no reason to keep it a secret.

The actress expressed her frustration at being constantly hounded about her personal life and pointed out that if anyone else is in a relationship with Adedimeji and chooses to keep it private, it is not her concern. She ended by urging people to focus on their own lives and avoid spreading false rumors about others.

Oyinkansola Elebuibon further explained that Lateef Adedimeji was shocked to hear that she had given birth because they were not in any romantic relationship at the time. She clarified that they are just friends and colleagues in the movie industry.

“He asked me who the father of the child was and I told him that I’m not married and I had the baby for somebody else. Lateef is my friend and colleague. We are not dating, we are not in a relationship. He is not the father of my child. We have never had any intimacy. We have never had any sexual relationship. We are just colleagues and friends,” she added.
