Actor Owolabi Ajasa recently commemorated the 12th anniversary of the death of the late Ishola Durojaiye, also known as Ahmed Alasari, by sharing a photo of the talented Yoruba actor. Durojaiye was a well-known figure in the Yoruba Nollywood Movie Industry in Nigeria, having worked as an actor, producer, filmmaker, and director before his passing in 2011. Although it was a great loss to the movie industry in Nigeria to lose such a talented actor at a young age, it is believed that God knows best.

During his lifetime, he was known for his excellent portrayal of roles in movies. He always went above and beyond to ensure that his performances were captivating and entertaining for both viewers and his devoted fans. Whether he was playing the role of a father, chief, husband, herbalist, or any other character, he brought his unique touch to each role, often incorporating humorous and engaging elements to make the films more interesting to watch.

Sharing the photo Owolabi wrote;

Ishola Durojaye (Hammed Alaasari) You left this sinful world 12 years ago.. May your soul continue to rest in peace.. Omo olowu oduru, Orun reee oo

Ishola Durojaiye, also known by his screen name Ahmed Alasari, was a popular actor in Nigeria’s Yoruba Nollywood Movie industry. He gained fame for his roles in movies such as “Oyin Tokoro” (2005) and “Ologbo Iya Ijebu” (2007). Tragically, he passed away on a Sunday in 2011 while on his way to Lagos State to work on a new movie titled “Omo Night Club”.

According to reports, the Pathfinder SUV he was traveling in had a tire burst near Onipepeye, causing the vehicle to crash. While the other three occupants of the vehicle were treated and discharged from the hospital, Durojaiye succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
