Oktoberfest in Mérida brought together more than 6 thousand people in the largest German festival in Mexico

More than six thousand people were present at Oktoberfest 2023, where Germans and Yucatecans united in one heart to enjoy German gastronomy and culture.

The Largest German Festival in Mexico, which is celebrated in the entity, is a replica of the great event that is presented in Munich for 18 days, being the largest popular festival in Germany and one of the largest in the world, with average annual visits of more than six million visitors.

Among what could be found during the German-Yucatecan Oktoberfest, traditional German food such as Aufschnitt (sausages), schnitzel, among others, in addition to 60 types of beer, traditional cookies and pretzels.

The attendees danced and sang with the band Host Mi, brought directly from Germany, who assured that the Yucatecan people were the best audience; For their part, the organizers commented that in this 20th edition it exceeded expectations, as everyone from children to the elderly came to enjoy the German Festival.
