Rains from ‘Lidia’, now Category 2, caused flooding in municipalities of Jalisco, such as in Autlán, where the hospital was flooded.

Jalisco.- Hurricane ‘Lidia’ was downgraded to category 2 and recorded a decrease in its maximum sustained winds, which are now 165 kilometers per hour during its passage over Jalisco.

‘Lidia’ made landfall with category 4 around 6:00 p.m. in the community of Las peñitas, Jalisco, and has caused various floods in the state.

Governor Enrique Alfaro reported that the hurricane caused the El Cangrejo, Cuajinque and Ahuacapan streams to overflow.

In Autlán de Navarro, a hospital was flooded and some patients had to be evacuated, according to reports. Images show people trying to evacuate the water.

In addition, a shopping plaza was also affected.

Conagua reported that extraordinary rains will continue in Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit; torrential rains in Michoacán and western Guerrero; intense in Durango and Sinaloa, and very strong in Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and Zacatecas.

In Nayarit, ‘Lidia’ caused the death of a man who was in his car and was crushed by a tree that fell in the community of Punta de Mita, in Bahía de Banderas, due to strong winds.
