Viva Aerobus and Aeroméxico announce flights to Tulum

Viva Aerobus and Aeroméxico announced yesterday that as of December they will begin to make flights to the new Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum, Quintana Roo, which is one of the projects being built in the southeast of the country on the eve of the inauguration of the Mayan train.

The first company to make it known was Viva Aerobus, which revealed that five flights will depart from Mexico City International Airport (AICM), Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and there will also be routes from Guadalajara, Monterrey and Tijuana.

Flights from Mexico City and Monterrey will begin on December 1, while operations will begin in Guadalajara on the 16th and in Tijuana on the 17th.

Later, Aeroméxico said that it will also have operations at the new aerodrome being built in the southeast of the country.

“Aeroméxico will begin operations from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the new Tulum International Airport as of December 1, thus offering greater connectivity with the state of Quintana Roo, especially with the southern Riviera Maya,” the company said in a statement.

This new route will be an alternative for travelers departing from Tijuana, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago, among others.
