Gabrielle Zevin, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow

Coming in the number one spot of Amazon’s top books list is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. It’s also a New York Times Bestseller, and it won a GoodReads Choice Award for Best Fiction.

A novel covering a time period of thirty years, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow follows Sam Masur and Sadie Green (friends since childhood). Before they turn 25, the two create their first blockbuster film, Ichigo, and find themselves wildly successful.

However, all their success can’t keep them safe from their creativity and their hearts. This coming-of-age mixed with contemporary romance is nothing like you’ve read before, and you will love every second of it.

2. Solito: A Memoir

All of the colors are amazing—some still linger at the edges of the sky, but when sunrise was at its peak, it felt like we were walking in a painting. Pinks, oranges, reds, purples, yellows, mixing together like watercolors. I thought I liked sunsets most, but I think I like sunrises better.

The ocean makes you feel like the world is greeting you with a soft, wet, welcoming indifference. It’s never going to argue back, no matter how loud you yell.

In the US, research shows teenagers can only focus for 65 seconds at a time, and office workers can focus for about 3 minutes. As our attention span continues to collapse, it is important to figure out why, and that is what Johann Hari set out to do with this book.

Hari went on a journey around the world to interview experts in the attention span of humans, and learned that pretty much everything we know about attention is wrong.

Hari also learned how we can work to regain our focus, transforming the debate about attention. If you have found yourself with a dwindling attention span, you need Hari’s book in your life.

Charlie, who appears to be a normal teen in high school, has a lot more baggage than any normal teen should. His mother died when he was young, so he had to learn to take care himself and his dad.

One day, when Charlie is 17, he meets a dog (Radar) and her elderly master (Howard Bowditch), a recluse living on top of a hill with a locked shed in the back. Charlie starts helping out Bowditch, and quickly falls in love with Radar.

Soon, Bowditch dies, leaving Charlie Radar and a cassette tape. On the cassette tape, Bowditch lets Charlie in on a secret he kept his entire (very long) life: what is in his locked shed.

Steven King, being the legendary writer he is, tells a compelling, hard-to-put-down story. Lovers of King’s other works and fantasy should definitely add this to their TBR.
